Buying an off-plan property around Marbella will probably differ from buying a similar property in your home country. When you are essentially signing off blueprints, plans and promises there are some things you need to be sure about before doing so.
Make sure you have guarantees if you buy before a project has a building license as the guarantees are only mandatory after the building license.
Make sure you fully understand how the views are going to be from the unit you are interested in. Ask for a plan which shows the heights of the blocks and the elevation between them.
Make sure you get the floor plans with dimensions. There is many times a significant difference between 'built' square meters and 'utilizable' square meters.
Finally, make sure you know what to expect if the project is delayed. There should be a clause in your contract covering this point.
There are of course more things to consider but these points are often overlooked by the developers or the commercializing real estate agents in the sales offices.
